I began working with Brian Dumas at Business Advisors Group in November, 2018, when he was representing the seller of a business I was interested in acquiring. He developed a very comprehensive and useful memorandum on the business, providing good detail and clear explanation of complex processes. Brian was fast to respond to emails and facilitated a very productive initial meeting with the management team. He was tactful and facilitated a very candid conversation with the seller. As initial interest evolved into a genuine interest to acquire the business, Brian continued to offer candid and honest feedback. He stayed involved throughout the SBA loan process, but was not excessive or overly assertive in his involvement. When a personal tragedy affected the lender, Brian reached out to me personally to let me know about the situation. From the moment I started working with Brian Dumas at Business Advisors Group to locate a Business along the lines of my requirements, he "was on my side" ... a very important point when working in the 'dusky world' of Business Brokers who all too often seem to put their self-interest at the top of their personal priorities, rather than their Client's. From the very start, Brian spent an awfully long time sorting through the myriad of hundreds of Businesses on the market until he came to me with a reasonable shortlist of suitable businesses for me to go through in further detail. I am sure a very time consuming exercise on part. From that list, we then sat down together and whittled the number down to three, which I investigated in much further detail. This is exactly what I wanted from Brian and he did not disappoint ! I then chose what I felt was the ideal one and Brian assisted me throughout the whole legal minefield of purchasing, until I finally signed the Purchase agreement.
